Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
1. Who we are
This website is the official website of Dr Ramneek Mahajan - Chairman Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement and Chief Robotic Joint Replacement, Max Institute of Musculoskeletal Sciences, Max Smart Superspeciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Dr Mahajan's practice; "you" refers to any visitor to this website.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information this website handles and the rights you have under Indian law - the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. It covers only this website. Your clinical records at the hospital or clinic are governed separately by medical record-keeping norms and are not handled through this website.
3. What this website collects from you
Nothing. This website has no forms, no sign-ups and no accounts. It does not ask for - and does not store - your name, phone number, email address or any other personal information.
Like most websites, the platform this website runs on records basic technical information about visits - such as device type, browser, pages viewed and approximate location. Some of this uses cookies. This information is aggregate, does not identify you personally, and you can block cookies in your browser settings without losing access to any part of this website.
4. When you book or contact the practice
This website offers two ways to reach the practice, and both work outside this website:
Online booking - the booking buttons take you to the hospital's own online booking page on the Max Healthcare website, where you can book an in-person or virtual consultation. Anything you enter there is collected by the hospital under its own privacy policy, not by this website.
WhatsApp - the WhatsApp buttons open a chat with the practice team. Any details you share there - your name, your number, your message - go directly to the practice, and you share them voluntarily. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, that voluntary sharing is your consent for us to use those details to respond to you and manage your appointment - and for nothing else. We do not sell them, we do not share them for marketing, and we do not send promotional messages. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us at the address in Section 8.
5. Third-party services
This website is built and hosted on Framer. Online bookings happen on the Max Healthcare website under its own privacy policy. WhatsApp conversations are governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
6. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have these rights over any personal information the practice holds about you - for example, details you shared on WhatsApp:
Access - ask us what personal information of yours we hold
Correction - ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
Erasure - ask us to delete your information
Withdrawal of consent - stop us from continuing to use your information
Nomination - nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the email address in Section 8. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Security
This website itself stores no personal information about you. For anything you share with the practice directly, we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No method of electronic communication is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Contact for privacy matters
9. A note on medical information
This website is for general information only. Nothing on it is medical advice, and using this website does not create a doctor-patient relationship. If you are facing a medical emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not rely on a website - any website - in an emergency.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
11. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute relating to it falls under the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.
